Dexta
Dexta (aka. Chris Royle) is a DJ, record producer & artist. He has released music on various UK based labels such as Hospital Records, Dispatch Recordings, Flexout Audio, None60 and SweetBox.
He’s also the founder of imprint Diffrent Music. Established in 2010, the label has become known for pushing experimental electronic music and has fostered releases from the likes of Fixate, Lakeway, Digid and Dexta himself.
While never strictly keeping the tempo locked into one genre, Dexta is mainly known for spinning an array of experimental drum & bass music, covering all bases, and effortlessly blurring any lines/crosses between some of D&B’s loosely related bass / breakbeat / grime / techno sounds.
Production-wise, he’s forever experimenting with different styles and sounds, and currently working on a live setup with the concept of taking studio jams and production translated into a performance environment.
